Basics for Beginners

If you are a beginner seeking to start taking yoga classes, the Basics for Beginners yoga program may be of interest to you. But then, we do not require you to go through this program first. Maybe your schedule permits you only to attend yoga classes on another day?

Beginners in regular yoga classes

You may start anytime at your convenience in one of our numerous beginners-friendly yoga classes that are scheduled daily. Your experienced yoga instructors will help you evolve along your yoga journey. The certified teachers offer modifications for beginners with hands-on adjustments and align your asanas (postures) correctly and safely. You will learn to build a safe and strong yoga practice that helps you open the body.

Yoga is appropriate for anyone. No need to be particularly flexible or be able to quieten the mind. Remind yourself that you start yoga to become more flexible in your body and your mind. The less flexible you are the more progress you will see. Everything comes from practicing regularly.

Level of Fitness as a Beginner in Regular Yoga Classes

Most yoga classes at INNERCITYOGA suit all levels and some are specifically Beginner-Friendly Yoga Classes. In regular yoga classes you will encounter a blend of basic and more advanced postures. For intermediate level classes we recommend a higher level of general fitness and above all, the level of understanding of the essential yoga poses.

Medical condition: In case of a specific medical condition, please consult your doctor first about being able to follow yoga classes containing physical exercise. Please inform your yoga teacher prior to class of this condition and s/he will give you modifications during class.
